Life started in a forest below the Shawangunk Ridge, in a trailer with a hexagonal cabin built on, just big enough for a potbelly stove. There was an iron spiral staircase up to a rough, wood attic room. I strayed from my folk/soul roots via the Trailways bus to NYC, where I found early hip hop cassettes and dove into 80’s psychedelic punk. I wandered on a shoestring and a song from Havana to Ghana to Varanasi. These experiences are distilled in my current batch, which is a single malt.
